Functional Strength

Building the muscle groups you use every day — making gardening, stairs and lifting groceries easier.

Bone Health

Safe, weight-bearing movements to assist in osteoporosis prevention and management.

Your First Step

How to Get Started

To ensure the class is at the right level for your body, we require all new participants to attend a 1-hour private introductory session with the instructor. During this session, we will:
1
Understand You

Discuss your medical history and any current aches or pains.

2
Assess You

Assess your current balance and strength levels.

3
Prepare You

Familiarise you with the exercises so you feel confident walking into your first group class.

Bookings & Timetable

Current Timetable: Classes run weekly and bookings are essential to maintain our small group numbers. Please contact our administration team for the latest class times.

Rebates: As these classes are led by a qualified physiotherapist, you may be eligible for Private Health rebates (check with your provider).

Real-Time Ultrasound Machine (RTUS)

Our latest addition to our clinic is this wonderful machine. The RTUS is used to assess and train a person’s deep core muscles (transversus abdominis/multifidus) and pelvic floor muscles.

This machine works just like the one for pregnant women, but the emphasis is on muscles. The screen will show the specific muscles and then the training will be directed by one of our qualified physiotherapists.

The RTUS is ideal for:

  • People with neck pain and lower back pain
  • Pre and Post-Pregnancy
  • Pre and Post-Spinal Surgery
  • People with Incontinence (Stress and Urgency)
  • Women with organ Prolapse
